MPI
This meeting organisation company needed someone to prepare the presentations for an international congress for an audience of 2,500 people. Graham wrote all of the presentations for the two-day meeting and then trained each of the speakers to present well. He also organised the rehearsals and worked closely with the production company to ensure the smooth running of the meeting. The congress was so well received it was won the Specialist Conference of the Year Award sponsored by the Incentive Meeting and Travel Association. MPI was also so pleased, they asked Graham to do the same task for the same audience two years later – and this time invited him to be a keynote speaker as well.
Lucent
Having trained several senior executives with Lucent Technologies in speaking skills, Graham was invited to chair a customer meeting in Madrid. Prior to the meeting for 300 European customers, Graham rehearsed each of the speakers and then ran the two-day meeting. Lucent was so impressed, they booked even more workshops and asked Graham to chair further meetings.
WCET
This international professional body for specialist nurses invited Graham Jones to run a workshop at its biennial congress. The workshop was designed to help nurses make better presentations. Having spoken at previous WCET meetings, Graham was known to this international audience. The organisers had estimated that 25 people would attend the workshop. Instead, over 200 people wanted to hear Graham. So popular was the event that Graham was invited back this year to repeat the exercise – once again packing out the meeting room..!
ConvaTec
This specialist medical equipment manufacturer needed to set up an internal ‘academy’ to help staff develop additional skills. Graham was invited to help establish this academy and to run sessions on conference speaking skills. The academy was so successful it was copied by other parts of the organisation.
